We at Allen Memorial Baptist Church are glad to have you visit us. It is our hope that you make friends and find a church home here. Our purpose is to help people have meaningful lives through following Jesus Christ.
Knowing that each person comes into our church at a different place in his or her spiritual journey, we are working to make sure that our ministries take into account that you may be seeking truth or that you may be building on truth. Therefore we have designed ministries for people who want to begin investigating the question, Who is Jesus? We also are working to help people already following Him to grow in faith.
We have found that God wants people to make Him the centerpiece of their lives. The tools He has given us to keep our focus on him are fourfold: Prayer and the Bible are how we keep focused on God. God speaks to us through His Word. We speak to God through prayer. Fellowship and Evangelism are how we relate to humanity. Through fellowship we help our fellow Christians. Through evangelism we help others find fullness in life through Jesus. As you look over our ministries, you will find that they serve these purposes.
I hope you will be received warmly into our worship service and also that you take some initiative in becoming acquainted with our congregation of Christ’s Church here in Candor.
